All through September, custodian of Welsh historic monuments, CADW, is throwing open its doors and giving visitors access to hundreds of sites across Wales as part of its annual heritage festival - Open Doors.

For the first time in two years, CADW is giving you the opportunity to visit more than 200 historic sites across the country - many of which are usually closed to the public!

This year curious visitors will get the chance to see behind-the-scenes at some of Wales's lesser-known historic monuments as a month-long programme of free entry, tours and events invites you to explore our proud history without paying a penny.
