The New Year has been a really busy time here at the Royal Victoria. Not only have we completed the renovation and refurbishment of our historic Coach House but we’ve been breathing new life into the hotel’s dining areas too. We look forward to welcoming diners to the stylish Victoria Restaurant and our watering hole, the Padarn Bar, and we can’t wait to hear what you think of our improvements.

Dine like royalty

Shortly before Christmas work on the Victoria Restaurant was completed and the results are simply breathtaking. The restaurant has undergone an extensive makeover and is now a contemporary light and airy dining space, yet still retaining a classic theme in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Accents of cornflower blue and cream teamed with light, polished woods lend the restaurant a timeless quality, making it a delightful place to dine.

The Victoria’s stunning views, of course, remain unchanged! The spacious and comfortable dining room boasts a panoramic bay window giving gorgeous views across the Snowdonia mountain range. Relax and soak up the surroundings over a glass of wine or take a closer look through the restaurant’s antique copper telescope.

A well kept secret

The refurbishment of the Padarn Pub is nearing completion but we don’t want to say too much and spoil the surprise yet! Expect more of the same - stylish, comfortable surroundings to enhance the timeless elegance of our wonderful hotel. If you simply can’t wait, we’ll be holding an exclusive preview event before the Padarn’s official re-opening - keep updated by liking our Facebook page or following us on Twitter.

Warm hospitality, local specialities

Open seven days a week, we welcome both residents and non-residents to eat, drink and be merry at the Victoria Restaurant or Padarn Bar. Using only the freshest locally sourced ingredients from carefully selected suppliers, we pride ourselves on preparing delicious meals which change with the seasons, making the best of what the Welsh countryside has to offer. Highlights include, heritage tomato and golden beetroot bruschetta, made with Pant-Ys-Gawn goat’s cheese; grain mustard baked loin of Welsh pork; and, for those of you with a sweet tooth, crème brȗlée cheesecake with Welsh farmhouse ice cream.

Our extensive drinks menu has been carefully designed to enhance your dining experience and our knowledgeable staff are on hand to help you select a wine to pair beautifully with your meal. If you prefer to choose your own you’ll be spoilt for choice from a wide selection of international wines, beers and spirits - look out for local specialities on the list too.
